Penn St. Lands Blue-Chip QB

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Penn State received some good news on the recruiting front today by receiving a commitment from a blue-chip quarterback.

Skyler Mornhinweg, son of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, gave the Nittany Lions a verbal commitment for the Class of 2012.

Mornhinweg had previously given a verbal to Stanford but changed his mind when Jim Harbaugh opted to accept a coaching offer from the San Francisco 49ers.

He chose Penn State over Alabama, Tennessee, Illinois and Stanford.

Mornhinweg becomes the 11th commitment for the 2012 season.
