Jarrett Commits To Pitt

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Allderdice defensive lineman Tyrique Jarrett became the 14th member of Pitt's 2012 recruiting class.

Chris Peak of Pantherlair.com was the first to report that Jarrett informed the Pitt coaching staff this afternoon that he wanted to be a Panther.

Jarrett (6-3, 320 lbs) selected Pitt over Cincinnati and UConn.

According to Rivals.com, Jarrett is a 2-star recruit.

Back in April, Pitt was the first school to offer Jarrett a scholarship.

Jarrett is the 4th player from the WPIAL to give Pitt a commitment joining Upper St. Clair linebacker Dakota Conwell, Sto-Rox cornerback Marzett Geter and Clairton wide receiver Trenton Coles.
