HARMAR TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A multi-vehicle accident on Route 28 forced the road to be closed for a period of time overnight.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday in Harmar Township.

At least five vehicles were involved and the road was closed between the RIDC Park and Harmar exits.

Several people were injured, but their conditions are unknown at this time.

The road has since reopened and there is no word on what caused the crash.
