Ross Twp. Woman Reported Missing

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Ross Township police have been checking with local hospitals and other local police agencies in their search for a 30-year old mother of two who hasn't been seen in four days.

Jamie Peterson was discovered missing by her children when they came home from school Monday afternoon.

The mother's Nissan Sentra was parked outside her North Fremont Avenue home, but there was no sign of Peterson.

The woman's mother, Darlene Peterson, said she was with her daughter on Sunday.

"She's been in good spirits and happy about the way things have been going – looking towards the future," she said.

"Everybody has taken their kids into a store and lost them around a clothes rack," she said, "well, this is like a million times that panic," Peterson said of her daughter's disappearance.

Peterson is 5'3" with a stocky build in addition to shoulder-length brown hair with highlights.

Police say she has several tattoos, including a butterfly on her neck and a purple bear on her left arm.
