NFL Fines James Farrior $15,000
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- For already the fifth time this NFL season, a Pittsburgh Steeler has been fined by the league.
Farrior was informed by the league that he was being fined $15,000 for a hit delivered last Sunday to Indianapolis Colts QB Kerry Collins.
The linebacker delivered a high hit to Collins but was not penalized during the game. Following the hit, Collins was forced to leave with concussion-like symptoms.
Farrior's agent, Ralph Cindrich, said Farrior will appeal the fine.
Farrior believes he was fined not because of the hit but because Collins is sidelined with a concussion.
Earlier in the week, wide receiver Antonio Brown was fined $7,500 by the league for a low hit to a Colts defensive back.
