Hundred Acres Manor Offers Chills For Charity!

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- If you love a good scare, this is definitely the time of year for you with all sorts of haunted houses popping up around the area. One of the scariest around is Hundred Acres Manor in South Park.

This fright-filled attraction isn't for the faint of heart, though. HauntWorld Magazine calls it "one of America's Best Haunted Attractions," warning visitors: "Prepare yourself for a relentless 45 minute journey of mind bending torture and hell that seemingly has no end!"

Aside from the chills, the thing that stands out about Hundred Acres Manor is that it is run by all volunteers and proceeds benefit local charities! Once again, this year's proceeds benefit Animal Friends and the Homeless Children's Education Fund!

Last year, some Steelers even stopped by to get in on the action -- trading in their helmets for masks to help scare visitors (& of course, raise money for a good cause!)

If you're willing to part with some of your blood... you could even get free admission! NewsRadio 1020 KDKA, 93-7 The Fan and Central Blood Bank are teaming up for a Drive to Save Lives on Friday, October 7th. Those who donate blood will get a ticket to Hundred Acres Manor. Arguably one of the area's best haunted houses, Hundred Acres Manor is just 10 miles south of downtown Pittsburgh in South Park.
