Steelers Place Sepulveda On Injured Reserve, Sign Kapinos

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Steelers have placed punter Daniel Sepulveda on the team's injured reserve list.

According to the Steelers website, the fifth-year punter injured his right knee during practice this past week. This is the third time Sepulveda has been put on the injured reserve list with a knee injury.

To take his place, the Steelers say they have signed Jeremy Kapinos. This is the second straight season the Steelers have brought in Kapinos.

He finished the 2010 season with a 41.1 yards-per-punt average for the Steelers.

Kapinos was originally signed as an undrafted rookie in 2007 with the New York Jets. He also played for Penn State.

Last season, Sepulveda averaged 45.5 yards per punt before tearing the ACL in his right knee.
