4-1-Zoo: Todd Graham Leaving Pitt For Arizona State

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Pitt head coach Todd Graham is leaving Pitt for the Arizona State head coaching job.

News flooded Twitter shortly after noon, as Pitt players all Tweeted in disbelief seemingly at the same time. From that point, news began to circulate that Graham is leaving and will head to ASU.

Graham reportedly texted his players that he was leaving the program to coach the Sun Devils.

"I have resigned my position at Pitt in the best interest of my family to pursue the head coaching position at Arizona State," Graham said. "Coaching there has always been a dream of ours and we have family there. The timing of the circumstances have prohibited from telling you this directly. I now am on my way to Tempe to continue those discussions. God Bless. Coach Graham."

Linebacker Brandon Lindsey tweeted after receiving the message, "So this is the Pitt way?" And safety Andrew Taglianetti mentioned that it's "last year all over again."

It's also interesting that Graham's wife, Penni, has deleted her Twitter account, which is normally extremely active.

The move is now official. A statement has yet to be released from the university.
