Pitt OC Norvell Resigns

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Pitt co-offensive coordinator Mike Norvell decided to resign from his position Thursday.

This is no big surprise, as he was almost definitely expected to follow former head coach Todd Graham to Arizona State. The two watched ASU's practice together Thursday.

Pitt's other former co-offensive coordinator, Calvin Magee, followed Rich Rodriguez to Arizona just before Graham took the ASU job. With both gone, quarterbacks coach Todd Dodge will call the plays for Pitt in the BBVA Compass Bowl in January.

Defensive coordinator Keith Patterson is still expected to serve as the interim head coach for the bowl game.
