PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Four area players and a Penguins prospect were selected to Team USA for this year’s world junior hockey championships in Western Canada.
Goalie John Gibson, forwards Brandon Saad (pictured to the left) and J.T. Miller, and defenseman Stephen Johns made the final roster.
Gibson is from Baldwin, Saad is from Gibsonia, Miller is from Coraopolis and Johns is from Wampum.
Penguins prospect Josh Archibald was also chosen.
