Penguins: Kennedy Suffers High-Ankle Sprain

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Penguins have released an update on the status of injured winger Tyler Kennedy.

According to the Penguins' website, Kennedy has a high-ankle sprain.

Kennedy was injured on Sunday during the Penguins 5-2 loss against the New Jersey Devils.

When he was hurt, the Penguins were in the middle of a four-game road trip.

While the team headed for Montreal, where they finished their trip with a 3-2 shootout loss, Kennedy returned to Pittsburgh have his leg evaluated.

Kennedy will be out for about four to six weeks, according to the team's website. Head coach Dan Bylsma said they will have a "better idea of what the time frame looks like" over the next week or so.
