Bill O'Brien Keeping It Simple At Penn State

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - New Penn State Fooball head coach, Bill O'Brien joined 93.7 The Fan for the Spring Football Preview Show with Gregg Giannotti, Paul Alexander, and Paul Zeise.

As a new coach, O'Brien says that he is going to rely on Spring Drills to make his decisions on which direction he wants to take his team. He would rather focus on what he has in front of him, instead of looking at past film of his players, saying he will do "the best [he] can to keep it simple."

We talk about his recruiting process and how it helps when he is able to throw out names like Tom Brady, Wes Welker, and Rob Gronkowski. He says that his recruiting staff covers all angles and is designed to cater to any type of player.

Penn State is in a period of recovery, but coach O'Brien doesn't look at the past. He is focusing on the best attributes of Joe Paterno stressing academics, and hard-working college football.
