Mother, Son Killed In Penn Hills Apartment
PENN HILLS (KDKA) -- A mother and her son were shot to death in Penn Hills and investigators say it didn't happen during a home invasion as they first believed.
Angela Proctor, 51, and her son, 22-year-old Manning Proctor, were killed in an apartment in the 8800-block of Westwood Road early Tuesday morning.
A 19-year-old was also shot, but not killed.
"It's bad because they're good people – they really are," a neighbor who did not want to be identified said. "This lady was a nice lady."
Police say neighbors heard arguing coming from the apartment shortly before the gunshots rang out.
Proctor and her son, who appears to be a college student, lived there, but the 19-year-old who was not identified by police had been staying there for a short period of time.
The 19-year-old is in critical condition.
Meantime, family and friends gathered to memorialize the slain mother and son.
