Alcohol Suspected In Deadly Kiski River Crash

PARKS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State Police are talking to the Armstrong County District Attorney about possible DUI charges in the death of a young woman who died after the car she was riding in went off the road and into the Kiski River.

It happened early Sunday on River Road morning as two sisters, 23-year-old Michelle and 26-year-old Nicole Dibler, were on their way home from Michelle's bachelorette party.

Michelle got out. Nicole's body was later recovered from the back seat.

"At this point we've pretty much gathered all the information from the scene," State Trooper Thomas Dubovi told KDKA's Kym Gable. "We're just waiting for toxicology reports."

Michelle told her grandmother, Phyllis Tressler, what she believed caused the crash.

"I understand that this road right here is a one-way up," Tressler said. "According to what Michelle said, a car come down the road and pulled out in front of her and she swerved to miss it."
