Beechview Woman Puts 12 Cats Up For Adoption

BEECHVIEW (KDKA) -- A woman who refused to leave her burning home because she didn't want to abandon her cats is now putting some of them up for adoption.

Bobbi Lacher, of Beechview, says her home needs extensive repairs and it isn't safe for the cats to stay there.

She's looking to place 12 cats, some of them tiny kittens.

She had 17 cats, but some of them have gone missing. She fears one of them may have died from smoke inhalation.

The fire was electrical and Lacher says it started near the air conditioner.

Lacher says the situation is desperate and that she may have to have the cats put down if people don't come forward to adopt them.
She says many are spayed or neutered already, and she offers to pay for procedures for any who aren't.
"They'll love you for life," she said.

She can be reached at (412)-439-7729.
