PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police say they have arrested a teenager in connection with the assault and robbery of a delivery driver in North Homewood last week.

Police say 16-year-old Jabar Owens from Pittsburgh's South Side, is facing charges of robbery, robbery of a motor vehicle, aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy.

He was taken into custody at 12:30 p.m. Sunday and was being held at the Allegheny County Jail.

The robbery happened Friday night while the driver for Yens Gourmet was making a delivery to a home on Mt. Vernon Street, officials said.

According to investigators, the driver ended up with a bloody nose as well as a wound near his eye, and had money, the food order, a cell phone and his vehicle taken.

Police also say the house the driver was called to appeared to be abandoned.

Authorities say they also found the driver's stolen SUV in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Larimer section.
