PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Penguins General Manager Ray Shero talked with Joe Starkey of Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN about the animosity between the Pens and Flyers, and what it’s like for him personally given his family ties to the Flyers dating back to when his Dad, Fred was the Flyers coach.

One of the biggest questions for the Pens throughout the season was the team chemistry with injured players returning, and Ray said he isn’t worried about the team not being on the same page at this point and that they’ll be ready to go come Game One.

Ray also discussed the importance of goaltending in the playoffs as well as how big of a factor it plays in who makes it to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Joe wrapped things up with Shero asking him how he feels about this team heading into the playoffs compared to teams he has had in the past.
