Quick Earns Shutout As Kings Beat Devils, 4-0

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick stopped all 22 shots New Jersey threw at him as the Kings beat the Devils, 4-0, in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals Monday night.

The Kings are just one win away from their first ever Stanley Cup.

After a scoreless first period, Alec Martinez started off the scoring at the 5:40 mark of the second period for a 1-0 LA lead. Anze Kopitar potted a second goal for the Kings on a tic-tac-toe passing effort with just under five minutes left in the second for a 2-0 lead after two periods.

The next goal was going to be huge in the game, and Jeff Carter scored it 4:15 into the third period for a 3-0 Los Angeles lead and complete control of the game. Justin Williams added a fourth goal 2:32 later and the Kings cruised to a 4-0 win.
