Teen Accused Of Shooting 7-Year-Old Still On The Run

CONNELLSVILLE (KDKA) -- The search is on for a teenager accused of shooting a young boy in Fayette County and now a reward is on the table.

Deago Eddings, 16, allegedly shot 7-year-old Ammar-e Williams in the chest on the afternoon of July 3 near the Hunter's Ridge Housing Complex in Redstone Township.

The boys were part of a group of children who were horsing around in the woods by Hunter's Ridge.

Eddings, of Connellsville, allegedly became angry, pulled out a .22 caliber handgun from his backpack and fired.

At last report, Williams was listed in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W. Va.

Fayette County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to Eddings' arrest.

Investigators say Eddings frequents the Uniontown and Connellsville areas of Fayette County.

State police ask anyone with information to call 1-888-404-8477, 724-437-8477 or email crimestoppersfayette@gmail.com.
