Man Sought After Yelling 'Bomb!' In Crowded Movie Theater

WEST HOMESTEAD (KDKA) -- Who would yell, "Bomb!" in a crowded movie theater and why?

West Homestead police are looking for answers after a man Sunday evening at the AMC Loews Theater at the Waterfront did just that.

Officer Dan Kinzel released surveillance video from inside the theater showing hundreds of frightened people streaming from the exits after the man yelled, "Bomb!"

It happened right after an argument between two women, but police are not sure of a connection.

The suspect is a black male believed to be in his 30s weighing 230 pounds and standing 6-feet-3-inches tall.

Police are now trying to enhance the surveillance video to see if the man is in the video.

Kinzel says one man suffered a back injury and abrasions and was treated at UPMC Mercy Hospital.

The movie showing at the time was "The Dark Knight Rises."

At about the same time as the bomb scare, a 51-year-old South Park man was arrested after police said he assaulted and harassed a woman and her father after he allegedly cursed at the woman's teenage son.
