NORTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a pregnant teenager in Fayette County early Saturday morning.
According to state police, police were called to a home in the 900-block of Woodview Terrace In North Union Township around 12:25 a.m.READ MORE: North Hills Special Response Team Hosts Toys For Tots Drive
When police arrived they found Paul Bannasch, 23, of Uniontown, attempting to throw a pregnant 18-year-old female and a 1-year-old boy out of a second-floor window.
Bannasch also allegedly fought with officers while being taken into custody.
During the course of their investigation, police learned Bannasch had allegedly choked the teenager and bashed her head against the floor multiple times.READ MORE: Championship Saturday: Pitt Fans Ready For Big Game Against Wake Forest
Bannasch was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time.
He is being lodged in the Fayette County Jail on $50,000 straight cash bond and is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
