Newborn's Family Has Many Questions Following Abduction

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The baby abducted from Magee-Womens Hospital Thursday afternoon has been discharged from the hospital and is at home with his parents, but many questions remain for his family.

According to UPMC officials, Bryce Coleman was discharged from the hospital just before noon Friday.

He was reunited with his parents, Rhonda King and Ben Coleman, at the hospital Thursday evening after going missing for about five hours.

Baby Bryce was found in a stairwell of the Investment Building in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Breona Moore, 19, of McKeesport, is facing charges of kidnapping in the case. She was found with the baby and taken into police custody.

Baby Bryce's grandmother says the family is excited to bring the little boy home, but they have many unanswered questions following the incident.

"She had went in and out like three different times within say a half an hour; so she had been in and out," said Charmaine King, the baby's grandmother, of the suspect in the hospital just before the baby went missing. "It was like she was confused; she was contemplating how she was going to do what she was going to do and get away with it."

King says the family also wants to know the baby's security ankle bracelet, which contains a chip, was removed so far ahead of him being discharged.

A spokesperson for UPMC said Friday that everything surrounding the incident is being reviewed and they will have no further comments today.
