Police Probe Home Invasion In Coraopolis

CORAOPOLIS (KDKA) -- Police have at least one suspect in custody following a home invasion early this morning in Coraopolis.

According to authorities, it all started when one of two suspects accused in connection with the case entered a home on Frances Drive around 4:20 a.m.

Investigators say the suspect was armed with a knife and demanded money.

Five men were reportedly in the residence at the time of the incident. They were all apparently Robert Morris University students.

Police say the second suspect, who is believed to have had a gun, waited outside and is believed to have yelled inside for the other suspect to get out.

The suspects ended up getting away with some shoes and an Xbox, officials said.

However, police took one of them into custody a short time later after cornering him in a nearby wooded area.

Police continue to investigate the incident. The victims were questioned at the police station.

There were no injuries reported.
