Man Checked Out At Hospital After Falling From Tree Stand

LINCOLN BOROUGH (KDKA) -- A man from Lincoln Borough was taken to the hospital after he was hurt in a hunting accident Tuesday.

Officials say Dave Cochran broke a rib and has a possible concussion.

Neighbors say the top step of his tree stand broke and he fell about 20 to 30 feet to the ground.

"He was confused, so they transported him down to the hospital for head injuries," said Dave Nagy, a neighbor.

Cochran was hunting with his wife in some woods behind a friend's house in Lincoln Borough when the accident happened.

He was able to walk with some help out of the woods.

His wife was not injured.
