Sports Agent, Former Player Offers Insight Into Big Ben's Injury

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Sports agent Ralph Cindrich has some special insight into the Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's injury.

Before becoming an agent, Cindrich played pro football and had a cracked rib.

Roethlisberger told reporters Wednesday that he had a dislocated rib that could puncture his aorta if it moves the wrong way.

"A broken rib is very painful," said Cindrich. "Having had a cracked rib myself and knowing just the time period it takes for the ribs to come around, I don't think they'll be any doubt that he'll be back within a couple… two or three weeks."

As for whether if could affect the Steelers playoff chances.

Cindrich says sometimes when players are put in, it actually adds some juice to the team.

"I'm not so sure it would affect them that way," said Cindrich. "I think if they're destined to go to the playoffs, I don't think this is going to make a big difference."
