PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The premiere for the new Tom Cruise movie, “Jack Reacher” has been rescheduled due to the tragic shooting in Connecticut.

The premiere was supposed to be held at the Southside Works Cinemas Saturday night.

Paramount Pictures released a statement Friday night announcing the postponement.

“Due to the terrible tragedy in Newtown, Conn., and out of honor and respect for the families of the victims whose lives were senselessly taken, we are postponing tomorrow’s Pittsburgh premiere of ‘Jack Reacher.’ Our hearts go out to all those who lost loved ones.”

A new date for the premiere has not been released at this time.
