Hampton Twp. Man Charged With Inappropriate Contact With Teens

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- For the second time since September, a local man is facing charges in connection with alleged inappropriate contact with children.

According to police, 30-year-old Justin Tarr is accused of assaulting the alleged victims at the Hartwood Equestrian Center on Harts Run Road in Hampton Township.

According to the center's website, they offer riding lessons for all ages. They board horse there, too.

Hartwood Equestrian is operated by Tarr's wife who the website says is a silver medalist.

Police say Justin Tarr is accused of touching and speaking inappropriately to a 13-year-old girl. He's also accused of having an alleged sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

He's no longer involved with the center.

Also, police are now talking with other teens who may be victims, too.

He is facing a long list of charges in both cases. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail under $50,000 bond.

Tarr is scheduled for two separate preliminary hearings next month, but it's likely those will be consolidated into one.
