PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — Pitt football head coach Paul Chryst joined The Fan Morning Show on Friday live from Birmingham, Ala. to preview the BBVA Compass Bowl, in which his team will take on Ole Miss.

The BBVA Compass Bowl kicks off Saturday at 1 p.m., with 93-7 The Fan’s live coverage from Birmingham getting started at 10 a.m.

He has been pleased with his team’s work leading up to tomorrow’s game.

“I thought we had good preparation in Pittsburgh, and it carried down here,” Chryst said.

He said the defense has done a good job of adjusting after the departure of defensive coordinator Dave Huxtable.

“We had time to put together a good plan,” Chryst said. “It has worked out well.”

He is proud of how T.J. Clemmings has adapted to playing on the offensive line after coming into the year as a defensive lineman.

“The thing I appreciate the most is that he just kind of goes in, and really worked at it,” Chryst said. “I think he’s got a future there.”
