Bill O'Brien On NFL Rumors: Those Are Future Plans

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Pennsylvania State University football head coach Bill O'Brien joined The Fan Morning Show on Wednesday, two days after reaffirming his commitment to the Nittany Lions in a press conference that came amidst rumors that he might bolt for the NFL.

He explained that he doesn't mean to seem upset at the media when asked about his future.

"I'm sorry if I came across that way, I'm not angry," O'Brien said. "At the end of the day, I love Penn State."

He reiterated his statement from Monday that he didn't ask for a raise.

He said that, while the NFL might be part of his future, it wasn't going to be part of his present.

"I told my players all along that I'm the Penn State head coach, and that's what I am," O'Brien said. "Those are future plans. Those are things that, maybe they come down again, come down the pike at some point in time. But right now, I plan on being the head coach at Penn State."
