Gadget Guru Talks New Consumer Electronics

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- The 2013 Consumer Electronics Show is going on this week in Las Vegas and many tech industry leaders will be there showing off new gadgets.

Brands like Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Intel and others are pitching new smartphones, TVs, tablets, cameras, computers and other devices.

Gadget Guru Dr. Frank Viggiano is in Vegas checking out what's available at the show and he's seen some pretty cool stuff.

"There's a product coming out called Mobile TV," Viggiano said. "We'll put it in the backseat for the kids. Instead of having a DVD, now they can watch live television."

Viggiano thinks Mobile TV will be huge and said that 35 stations across the country will broadcast their signal. The unit costs $99 and doesn't have a monthly fee.

KDKA-AM's Larry and John talk to Dr Frank about what else he's seen at the show and what he thinks of the new trends coming out of this year's CES.
