Arctic Air Brings Cold, Snowy Start To Week

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The next couple of days have a cold, snowy outlook for the Pittsburgh area.

Periods of light snow will give a coating to an inch of accumulation on Monday with 1 to 2 inches near Interstate 80.

It will be cold with the high near 29 degrees, but wind chills will be in the teens this afternoon. Tonight, light snow gives an additional coating to an inch with the low near 7 degrees.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory between 10 p.m. tonight through 11 a.m Tuesday. Wind chills could be between 10 and 20 below zero.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a few flurries.

It will continue to be very cold with a high of just 16 degrees and wind chills will be in the single digits.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with flurries and a high of 17 degrees.
