Will New Pope Bring About The Beginning Of The End?

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - The 12th century Irish bishop of Armagh, Saint Malachy has predicted all the popes that have come.

He concluded his prophecy with the belief that after Pope Benedict XVI, there will only be one more pope before the end of the world. In 1139, Saint Malachy went to Rome where he experienced a strange vision that gave him the names of all 112 popes to come until the end of time.

Today, in a sudden announcement, Pope Benedict XVI said he will resign at the end of February.

He is the first pontiff to step down in 600 years. The 85 year-old pope believes that after examining his conscience with God, his age makes him in adequate to fulfill the needs of the ministry.
