PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A 19-year-old man was injured after crashing his vehicle into a utility pole Friday afternoon in Beechview.

The accident happened after 3:30 p.m. in the 2100-block of Pauline Avenue.

The impact of the crash caused the pole, with live wires, to tilt in a precarious position.

A neighbor helped to pull the man from the car.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was conscious and talking at the scene.

Duquesne Light crews were called in to make repairs
