Varying Snow Accumulations Reported Around Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Our late winter/early spring storm is beginning to loosen its grip on the area after dumping some troublesome snow Monday morning.

By 8 a.m., a total of 3.9 inches had fallen in Pittsburgh.

Elsewhere, 4.6 inches have fallen in Greensburg, 3.5 inches in Mt. Pleasant, 6.9 inches in Farmington, Fayette County, 6 inches in Champion, while staggering amounts of snow have fallen on Garrett County, Md.

Oakland, Md. has received 12 inches, while Redhouse, Md. has totaled 16 inches of new snow.

For the rest of today, some light snow and flurries can be expected with little additional accumulation and a high of 37 degrees.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a few flurries and a low of 28 degrees.

For Tuesday, we can expect mostly cloudy skies with periods of light snow and flurries and a high near 40 degrees.
