Garrett Jones Credits Wandy Rodriguez For Mental Toughness
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- The Pirates' Garrett Jones joined The Fan Morning Show on Thursday to talk about the team's 3-0 win Wednesday night.
He gave a lot of credit to starting pitcher Wandy Rodriguez for putting the team in a position where it could score a few runs and win.
He explained that, while they have heaters in the dugout and other ways to warm up, a lot of playing through a frigid day like yesterday comes down to toughing it out.
"Just have to find a way to stay loose," Jones said.
He credited Rodriguez for doing that especially well.
"It show hows tough Wandy mentally is," Jones said. "It didn't look like the cold was affecting him at all."
