PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled rookie winger Beau Bennett from their AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The team made the announcement on their official website, Sunday afternoon.

Bennett has played in 19 games with the Penguins and has recorded two goals and seven assists. His first NHL goal came during a 5-on-3 power play against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 24. The goal was set up by Sidney Crosby.

With the Baby Pens, Bennett has seven goals and 21 assists in 39 games this season. On Friday, Bennett set up Alex Grant for the game-winning goal in overtime against the Adirondack Phantoms.

The Penguins will be back in action Tuesday night when they begin a three-game road trip in Carolina.
