Police Investigating After Baby Is Found Unresponsive In Bathtub

MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Moon Township and Allegheny County Police are still trying to piece together what happened Wednesday afternoon inside a house on Hassam Road.

The father of an 11-month-old baby found his daughter face down in some water in the family's sunken bathtub. She was unresponsive.

Captain Gregory Seamon, of the Moon Township Police Department, says with the information they have been able to gather, the father was home with the baby and three other children, ages 3-, 6- and 8-years-old.

When he didn't see the baby, he looked around the house and found her in the bathtub. The baby was initially transported to Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital, and then later flown to Children's Hospital.

Her condition is unknown.

Since no charges have been filed against the father, his name is not being released.

The mother was at work when the baby was found.
