Generational Child Abuse By Pollution

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Chris Moore was joined by the Professor and Chair of Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA and former CDC Atlanta employee Richard Joseph Jackson on Sunday.

Jackson is worried about the world we're leaving our children and calls it "generational child abuse." He also said the health of future generations is at stake.

Jackson describes American society as a "car centric universe," which leads to less exercise and worse air quality. Jackson is worried about the direction our society is going with the combination of unhealthy foods and lack of exercise.

Moore and Jackson discussed ways to get kids active like sports and neighborhood activities. Kids are being driven around more in our "car centric universe" and do not walk around as much, not even to neighbor's house.

Listen to the Chris Moore Show on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.
