PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The Pirates’ Brandon Inge signed with the Pirates in the off-season, a move that some thought would help strengthen the bench.

Although he has been starting recently for the injured Neil Walker, Inge told Bob Pompeani that the bench is a strength for the club.

“It’s full, it’s loaded, that’s for sure,” Inge said. “There’s not really a weak spot that you can put a finger on … Clint (Hurdle) can go to any section, any part of the bench that he wants and pull whatever he needs off of it.”
