Haiti Trip Impacts Pitt Football Players

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN) - In April, members of the Pitt Football team took part in a trip to Haiti to visit impoverished communities. The impact that the trip had on the players may have been greater than the impact they had on the community.

Three players - linebacker, Mike Caprara, fullback, Mark Giubilato, and wide receiver, Devin Street - partook in the journey. Giubilato and Caprara joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to talk about it.

"Life-changing." Both players told us the magnitude variance between their perspective from before the trip, to when they returned.

"You take things for granted," Giubilato said.

The smallest things mean so much to people who have so little. One kid held Giubilato's hand all day as a sign of gratitude, because he was given a pair of sweatpants.
