Police Investigate Attempted Luring In Lang Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are looking for a person suspected of trying to lure a girl on her way to school.

It happened around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Lang Avenue and Fielding Way in the Lang/Monticello area.

The 12-year-old girl said a man in a green SUV or pick up was persistent in his attempt to lure her as she walked to the bus stop, but eventually drove away.

The man is described as a black male in his mid-30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 pounds, medium build, balding and wearing a green T-shirt.

Police officers took the girl to school at Obama Academy.

Zone 5 Police are investigating the incident.
