PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A body was found in a river in Beaver County.

It was found sometime before 7:30 p.m. in the water of Beaver River near the docks on Riverside Drive in Bridgewater.

A boater spotted it on the river and a fellow boater called 911.

Police then immediately retrieved the body from the water.

Officials say the body was probably only in the water for a couple of days and traveled down from the north.

Police do not know the man’s identity, but he is described as a white male, middle-aged, wearing a tan jacket, jeans, tennis shoes and was clean shaven.

There were also no immediate signs of foul play or trauma.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgewater Police.
