Three Houses Catch Fire In Homewood

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Firefighters worked to put out a four-alarm blaze in Homewood.

It started around 6:45 p.m. at a home near the intersection of Rosedale and Madiera streets and spread to two other neighboring houses.

A woman driving by spotted the smoke and called 911.

However, responders faced some difficulties when a neighbor's Pit bulls got out and prevented them from accessing the fire. Officials say the neighbor then got aggressive and pushed on of the battalion chiefs, which ultimately led to his arrest.

Meanwhile, dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
