NEW ALEXANDRIA (KDKA) — A boy was rushed to the hospital Saturday afternoon after he crashed the dirt bike he was riding at a raceway in Westmoreland County.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Raceway Park Motocross Track in New Alexandria.

According to officials, the 11-year-old was riding a friend’s dirt bike along the track during open practices when he crashed and fell off.

He was flown by medical helicopter to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials say he suffered a broken nose.
