Police Identify Suspects In Findlay Twp. SWAT Incident

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police have identified two men who were arrested following a robbery that led to a standoff in Findlay Township Tuesday night.

According to police, the two men robbed a man in Imperial around 6:30 p.m. It is believed they stole cash and the man's cell phone.

The two men got in a car and robbed a man on Stark Avenue. One of the two men from Homewood pulled out a gun and fired it.

The men have been identified as William Moore and Andre Hill.

Hill and Moore then began trying to dodge law enforcement by running about half of a mile to 3162 Santiago Road in Findlay Township.

"Our K-9 officer, the first officer on the scene, tracked them from the scene to the location on Santiago Road," Findlay Township Police Chief Jesse Lesko said.

In minutes the Allegheny County SWAT team surrounded the home..

"We hailed them asking them to come out of the house. One actor came out," Inspector David Walsh said.

While Hill complied, Moore chose to remain in the house.

"The other actor decided that he was going to continue hiding in the house," Walsh said. "A flash bang was used. He came out of the house within minutes."

After Moore surrendered he said, "I screwed up. The gun went off."

Hill and Moore were taken into custody and are facing a list of charges including, robbery, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

The robbery victim was not seriously injured. Also, the residents of the house were not home at the time.
