Gregg Giannotti Goes 1-On-1 With Pitt's Devin Street
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Fan Morning Show host and Pitt football sideline reporter Gregg Giannotti had a chance to catch up with Panthers wide receiver Devin Street this week, with the Panthers' season-opener fast-approaching.
Street said that he feels comfortable being a senior leader on this team. He feels that everything has been falling in place for Tom Savage, who was recently named the team's starting quarterback.
He supports the steps Paul Chryst has taken to protect team unity over this offseason, including not allowing Rushel Shell back and taking his time before permitting Todd Thomas to return.
Street wants to play with guys that love Pitt and really want to be a part of its football program, and he feels that Chryst's approach can help make that a reality. Devin likes him because he knows what it takes to win.
The Panthers' 2013 season kicks off on Sept. 2, when they square off against Florida State in their first-ever ACC contest.
