Police Probe Fatal Shooting In Larimer

LARIMER (KDKA)- Police are looking into a deadly shooting in the Larimer neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. Thursday night, inside a home in the 500-block of Lowell Street.

Police found 24-year-old Anthony Grant Wilson of Homewood lying at the bottom of the stairs with multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation from Zone Five Police.

"Someone from the outside opened the door and began firing multiple rounds into the residence," said Pittsburgh Police Lt. Kevin Kraus. "We believe he was struck by the gunfire and subsequently collapsed at the scene."

Wilson was visiting friends in Larimer when his killers took off.

"At this point, it's not clear how they fled the area," Kraus said, "but we did take two adult males who were in the house for questioning and later released."

At this time there are no suspects and a motive for the shooting has not be established.

No one in the neighborhood wanted to talk to KDKA about the shooting, for fear of becoming the next victim.

"At this point, we don't have a lot of information on suspects, but we're continuing to canvas the area," Kraus said. "Hopefully we'll gain some additional information."

Police are also trying to determine if Wilson was the intended target, or just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Stay with KDKA for more information.
