STOWE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A man is in the hospital after being shot inside a local bar.

The shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. on Broadway Street in Stowe Township. Police say it happened inside of Bob’s Tavern.

The 27-year-old victim was shot in the chest and rushed to the hospital.

His condition is unknown, but police say he is expected to survive.

Police say several other patrons were inside the bar, but no additional injuries were reported.

Early Friday morning, 22-year-old Christopher Pollard was taken into Allegheny County Police headquarters.

Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman told KDKA’s Heather Abraham: “Part of what we’re looking for is a motive. There may have been a previous encounter where money was owed or taken.”

Pollard is charged with the shooting.
