PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have recaptured a man who escaped from jail a week ago.

Last Friday, it was reported that 29-year-old Robert Currington escaped from the Penn Pavilion Corrections Center.

Currington had been serving time for burglary and had a criminal history including weapons violations, assault and drugs.

However, he was arrested again by the Pittsburgh Drug Task Force Thursday.

He is currently in the Allegheny County Jail and facing new charges.

State Police also say this is the third escapee to be recaptured in the last week.
