Post-Gazette To Charge For Web Content

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette will begin charging for access to its online digital content.

The Post-Gazette reports Wednesday that starting Oct. 1 it will charge $9.95 per month for unlimited access to its website, smartphone app, tablet app and electronic editions of the paper. Post-Gazette print customers with home delivery subscriptions will have unlimited digital access.

Non-subscribers will get access to a limited number of stories each month on the website.

Post-Gazette president Joe Pepe says the model will allow the company to continue to provide quality journalism to readers.
